African   -   Dark Chili Sambal (Ghana)   adapted from A Taste of Africa

Ingredients
  • 6 Ounces Olive Oil
  • 8 Cloves Garlic
  • 4 Medium Onions -- chopped
  • 1 Piece Ginger Root -- grated
  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 2 Cubes Chicken Bouillon
  • 5 Ounces Shrimp -- peeled & deveined
  • 3 1/2 Ounces Chili Powder
Directions 1. Saute garlic onions & ginger 10 minutes in the oil.
2. Stir in tomato paste, crush cubes and add in, undissolved.
3. Add shrimp, chili powder.
4. Cook until shrimp turns pink.
Serves 2
