Australian   -   Maisie's Pasties   adapted from Good Food from Australia by Betsy and Graeme Newman

  • 1 Medium Carrot -- Chopped
  • 1 Small Turnip -- Chopped
  • 2 Small Onion -- Chopped
  • 1 Pound Potatoes -- Chopped
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
  • 1 Loaf Bread Dough
Directions Saute all ingredients except bread dough until the beef is cooked through and the vegetables are soft, about 15 minutes. Cut bread dough into 12 pieces and roll out into a round. Divide the filling between the rounds and fold over, sealing the edges with water. Prick top with a fork and brush with milk. Bake in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes. Serve.
