Australian   -   Pie And Sauce   adapted from Good Food from Australia by Betsy and Graeme Newman

  • 1 Pound Ground Beef Or Cubed Beef
  • 1 Tablespoon Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Small Onion -- Chopped
  • 1 Stalk Celery -- Chopped
  • 1 Medium Carrot -- Chopped
  • 1 Cup Beef Stock
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
  • 1 Medium Pie Crust
Directions Sprinkle beef with flour and saute with onions, celery and carrots in butter for 10 minutes. Add stock, salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes. Place in pie plate, top with pie crust and bake for 15 minutes in 425 degree oven.
