Asian   -   Steamed Lemon Chicken   adapted from the wok cookbook

  • 3 Pounds Chicken
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Sherry
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Lemon -- sliced
  • Salt -- to taste
Directions 1. Cut chicken into bite sized pieces.
2. Place all other ingredients in a heat proof bowl, mix thoroughly.
3. Marinate chicken 30 minutes to 4 hours, making sure all chicken is well coated.
4. Arrange lemon over chicken in bowl.
5. Place bowl on steaming rack in wok. Steam 40 minutes or until done & tender.
6. Add more water to wok if needed.
Serves 4
