Algerian - Potato Stew (Shtitha Batata)

Ingredients
|
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 5 Cloves Garlic -- finely chopped
- 2 Cups Water
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Pepper
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin
- 1 Tablespoon Paprika
- 1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
- 1 Pound Potato -- cut in rounds

Directions
|
Heat the oil in a pan, add garlic and 1/4 cup of water and simmer for 1 minute. Add salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, tomato paste and the rest of the water. Bring to a boil, add the potatoes and cook over low ehat for about 30 mintues. Serve.
