Brazilian   -   Palm Hearts With Rice And Shrimp   adapted from Brazilian Cookery by Margarette De Andrade

  • 1 Pound Shrimp
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic -- Finely Chopped
  • 1 Medium Green Bell Pepper -- Chopped
  • 1 Medium Onion -- Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Parsley -- Chopped
  • 8 Ounces Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Cups Rice -- Cooked
  • 1 Can Palm Hearts
Directions Saute garlic, pepper, onion and parsley in oil until onion is well browned. Add shrimp and tomato sauce and cook until the shrimp are done. Add rice, mix well and heat through. Remove from heat and stir in palm hearts. Serve.
