Burmese - Pork Stew In Black Bean Sauce

Ingredients
|
- 2 Pounds Boneless Pork -- cubed
- 1 Medium Onion -- finely chopped
- 5 Cloves Garlic -- chopped
- 1 Inch Ginger -- chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Paprika
- 2 Teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Teaspoon Shrimp Paste
- 3 Tablespoons Fish Sauce
- 1 Cup Fermented Black Bean Paste -- miso
- 2 Tablespoons Peanut Oil
- 2 1/2 Cups Water

Directions
|
Mix all ingredients together with 1/2 cup of the water. Marinate for 15 minutes. Bring to a boil. Cook in a covered pan over moderate heat for 20 minutes. Add remaining water, Return to a boil. Cook covered over moderate heat for 45 minutes. The sauce will reduce to about 1 cup. serve with rice.
