Burmese   -   Sanbyoke (Chicken Rice Soup)   adapted from The Best of Burmese Cooking by Aung Aung Taik

  • 1 Cup Rice
  • 2 Large Chicken Breast -- Chopped
  • 4 Cloves Garlic -- Chopped
  • 1 Medium Onion -- Chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Salt
  • 2 Cups Chicken Stock
  • 2 Quarts Water
  • 1 Bunch Green Onion -- Chopped
Directions Combine all ingredients except green onions in a soup pot. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Sprinkle with green onion and serve.
