Chinese   -   Bean Sprout And Pork Soup   adapted from Cantonese Chinese Cooking by Margaret Leeming

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 8 Ounces Pork -- In Strips
  • 8 Ounces Bean Sprouts
  • 2 Cups Pork Or Chicken Stock
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
Directions Heat oil and saute pork until well browned. Add sprouts, saute for 30 seconds. Add stock. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Season with soy sauce, sugar, salt and pepper.
Serves 4
