Chinese   -   Five-Spice Pork And Potatoes   adapted from the wok cookbook

Ingredients
  • 3 Medium Potatoes -- cut in 1/2" slices
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil
  • 1 Pound Boneless Lean Pork -- cut 1 x 3" strips
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 1/2 Cups Water
  • 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 Teaspoons Sugar
  • 1 1/4 Teaspoons 5 Spice Powder
  • 1/3 Cup Green Onions -- thinly sliced
Directions 1. Heat oil in wok until hot.
2. Stir fry pork and garlic until browned (5 minutes).
3. Add remaining ingredients except green onions.
4. Reduce heat and simmer mixture, stirring occasionally until potatoes are tender when pierced with fork. (about 20 minutes)
5. Garnish with green onions.
Serves 4
