Danish   -   Danish Anise Bread   adapted from Ethnic Breads

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
  • 3 Cups Bread Flour
  • 2/3 Cup Sugar
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Anise Seed
  • 1/3 Cup Toasted Almonds -- chopped
  • 3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 3 Tablespoons Oil
  • 1 Medium Egg
  • 1 Medium Egg Yolk
  • 3/4 Cup Water
Directions Place all ingredients in bread machine and process according to manual instructions.
Serves 1
