Danish   -   Raisin Coffee Cake   adapted from Wonderful, Wonderful Danish Cooking by Jensen

  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 2 Packages Dry Yeast
  • 2 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Cup Melted Butter
  • 3 Medium Eggs -- beaten
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Raisins
  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
Directions Scald milk. Cool. Add yeast, stir until dissolved. Beat in flour. Let rise till bubbly. Add rest of ingredients and beat. Half fill 2 round 9 inch tube pans with the dough. Let rise until forms are full. Bake in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Lower heat to 375 and bake for 45 minutes more.
