Danish   -   Sour Cream Swiss Steak   adapted from Wonderful, Wonderful Danish Cooking by Jensen

  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 4 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 Pounds Swiss Steak
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Small Onion -- finely chopped
  • 3 Tablespoons Tomato Puree
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
Directions Mix salt and ppper with flour and pound into the steak. Brown steak in butter add onon tomato puree and water. Cover simmer 1 hour. Add sour cream, mix well, simmer 30 minutes more serve.
