Ingredients
  • 2 Teaspoons Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Chipotle Pepper -- Ground
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 4 Pounds Chicken -- In Four Pieces
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Large Bell Pepper -- Chopped
  • 1 Large Turnip -- Chopped
  • 1 Can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Thyme
  • 4 Cloves Garlic -- Chopped
  • 1 Can Tomatoes -- Diced
  • 2 Cups Chicken Stock
Directions Combine seasoning mix and sprinklel over chicken. saute chicken in oil until well browned, remove and set aside. Add peppers and turnips, saute 10 minutes. Add tomato sauce, cook 10 minutes. Add thyme and garlic, tomatoes and stock, return chicken to pot, boil, reduce heat, simmer 10 minutes, remove and serve over rice or pasta.
