Cajun and Creole   -   Sweet And Sour Barbecue   adapted from Louisiana Tastes by Paul Prudhomme

  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Ancho Chile Peppers -- Ground
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1 Teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Cup Chicken Stock
  • 1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Hot Pepper Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Teaspoons Liquid Barbecue Smoke?
Directions Combine seasoning mix in a small bowl. Combine all ingredients and seasoning mix in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes. Use for all types of barbecued meats.
