Finnish   -   Breakfast Buns   adapted from finnish cooking

Ingredients
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1 Package Dry Yeast
  • 1/4 Cup Warm Water
  • 1/2 Cup Graham Flour
  • 6 Cups White Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Butter -- melted
  • 3 Tablespoons Light Molasses
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Raisins
  • 1 Cup Sugar
Directions 1. Scald milk, cool to luke warm.
2. Add yeast to wqrm water, stir until dissolved.
3. Pour milk and yeast into large mixing bowl.
4. Add graham flour and 2 cups white flour, beat well.
5. Cover bowl and let rise 45 minutes.
6. Add remaining ingredients.
7. Mix until dough is stiff.
8. Knead until smooth.
9. Place in bowl, cover let rise again until doubles in bulk, about 1 hour.
10. Cut off pieces about egg size, and shape into buns.
11. Place on well-greased baking sheet, let rise 30 minutes.
12. Brush buns with warm water, Bake at 400* for 15-20 minutes.
