Finnish   -   Karjalan Paisti (Karellian Hotpot)   adapted from Classic Scandinavian Cooking By Nika Hazelton

  • 1 Pound Pork -- Cubed
  • 1 Pound Beef -- Cubed
  • 1 Pound Lamb -- Cubed
  • 2 Teaspoons Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Allspice
  • 6 Large Onions -- Chopped
  • 6 Cups Beef Broth
Directions Combine all meats in a bowl, Add salt, pepper and allspice, mix well. Place in even layer on bottom of baking dish, layer with onions, repeat ending with layer of meat. Add broth, bake for 3 hours at 350 degrees. Serve with boiled potatoes.
