Finnish   -   Lapland Fool (Lapinpila)   adapted from The Finnish Cookbook by Beatrice A Ojakangas

  • 2 Pounds Ham -- Cubed
  • 4 Slices Bacon -- Chopped
  • 4 Cups Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 Medium Bay Leaves
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Allspice
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 3 Cups Beef Broth
  • Salt -- To Taste
Directions Combine ham and bacon with potatoes. Add bay leaves, allspice, pepper and stock. Season with salt. Brin got a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve.
