French   -   Fettucine With Wild Mushrooms   adapted from unknown

  • 1 Cup Hot Water
  • 1 Ounce Dried Porcini Mushrooms
  • 1 Small Onion -- chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic -- chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Half And Half
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 8 Ounces Fettucine -- uncooked
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
Directions Pour water over mushrooms, let stand 30 minutes. Cut mushrooms into 1/4 inch strips. Saute mushrooms, onion, and garlic in oil. Until onion is tender. Add 1/2 & 1/2 and salt. Heat to boiling, reduce heat, Simmer uncovered 5 minutes. Cook fettucine as directed. Pour sauce over hot fettucine until it is well coated. Top with ground pepper.
