French   -   French Cabbage Soup   adapted from catalot

Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 Cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 Medium Onion -- sliced
  • 2 Medium Carrots -- shredded
  • 1 Small Cabbage -- shredded
  • 1 Clove Garlic -- chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Fines Herbes
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Tarragon
  • 1 Pinch Nutmeg
  • 3 Handfuls Wide Egg Noodles
  • 6 Slices French Bread Loaf -- sliced 1" thick
Directions Saute onion, carrots and garlic in butter until soft. Add remaining ingredients except bread and noodles. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add noodles and cook until noodles are tender about 10 minutes.
Serve with bread.
Serves 6
