German - Bayrischer Gulasch (Bavarian Goulash)

Ingredients

- 2 Pounds New Potatoes -- Cooked
- 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 Pounds Lean Beef -- Cubed
- 2 Large Onion -- Chopped
- 2 Medium Tomatoes -- Chopped
- 1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
- 1 Clove Garlic -- Chopped
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1 Medium Bay Leaf
- 2 Cups Beef Broth
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 1/4 Cup Red Wine

Directions
|
Saute beef in oil until well browned about 15 minutes. Add onions, saute for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, garlic, paprika and bay leaf. Stir in broth. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Remove 1/4 cup beef broth, stir together with flour and add back to the pot. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add wine, simmer for 10 minutes. Serve over potatoes.
