Greek - Beef And Onion Stew

Ingredients
|
- 1 Medium Onion -- chopped
- 2 Cloves Garlic -- chopped
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 Pounds Beef -- cut in 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 Cup Dry Red Wine
- 2 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 Can Tomato -- 8 oz
- 1 1/2 Pounds Pearl Onion
- Feta Cheese -- crumbled

Directions
|
Saute onion & garlic. Add beef, brown it for 25 minutes. Drain fat. Stir in remaining ingredients except the pearls and the cheese. Heat to boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 1/4 hours. Add pearl onions. Simmer 30 minutes. Discard bay leaf, Serve topped with feta.
