Greek   -   Wild Mushroom Phyllo Bundles   adapted from pilsbury

  • 1 Tablespoon Margarine
  • 1/2 Cup Red Bell Pepper -- finely chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic -- chopped
  • 1 1/2 Cups Wild Mushrooms -- chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Chives -- chopped
  • Salt And Pepper -- to taste
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Marjoram
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Sage
  • 6 Phyllo Sheets 17X12 -- thawed
  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 2 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese -- shredded
Directions saute pepper and garlic in butter until tender. Add mushrooms saute until tender. remove from heat, stir in chives and spices. heat oven to 350 unroll phyllo sheets. cover with towel to prevent drying. place phyllo sheet on work surface and spray with nonstick spray. layer 2 more sheets spraying each. with sharp knife cut through sheets making 12 squares. place heaping teaspoon of mushroom mixture into each square. sprinkle with cheese. bring edges of pastry, twist together and seal. place on ungreased cookie sheet. repeat with the remaining 3 phyllo sheets. bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until golden brown. serve warm.
