Hungarian   -   Rakott Krumpli (Potato Layer)   adapted from Culinaria Hungary

  • 2 Pounds Potatoes -- Cooked And Sliced
  • 5 Ounces Bacon -- Chopped
  • 4 Medium Hard-Boiled Egg -- Sliced
  • 8 Ounces Spicy Sausage -- Sliced
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Bread Crumbs
Directions Saute bacon until the fat renders. Add sausage and saute until browned. Remove from heat. Place a layer of potatoes into a baking dish, top with some of the sausage and bacon, a few slices of egg and 1/4 of the sour cream. Repeat layers ending in a potato layer. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
