Ingredients
|
- 1 Medium Onion -- chopped
- 1 Clove Garlic -- chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Margarine
- 6 Ounces Dried Red Lentils
- 2 Tablespoons Coriander
- 2 Teaspoons Ginger Root
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Red Pepper
- 2 1/2 Cups Water
- 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Directions
|
Saute onion and garlic in the margarine. Stir in remaining ingredients except the water and oil. Cook and stir over medium heat 2 minutes, add water & oil. Heat to boling, reduce heat, cover and simmer until lentils are tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes..
