India   -   Spicy Shrimp Mangalore Style (Meen Varuval Mangalore)   adapted from Indian Light Cooking by Ruth Law

  • 1 Pound Medium Shrimp
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 Teaspoon Cayenne
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Mustard Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Lime Juice
  • 2 Teaspoons Canola Oil
  • 2 Large Green Onion -- finely chopped
  • Salt -- to taste
Directions In bowl, combine turmeric, cayenne, mustard and lime juice. Add shrimp and marinate for 30 minutes. Heat oil in skillet. Add shrimp and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add green onions and fry until shrimp are pink. Add salt to taste.
Serves 4
