Ingredients
|
- 2 Cups Lentils
- Salt -- To Taste
- 4 Slices Bacon -- Chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1 Medium Onion -- Chopped
- 1 Stalk Celery -- Chopped
- 1 Can Tomatoes -- Chopped
- 4 Cups Beef Broth
- 2 Pounds sausage links -- Sliced
- Pepper -- To Taste

Directions

Saute bacon in oil and butter until browned. Add onion and celery, saute for 5 minutes. Add lentils, tomatoes and stock. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Saute sausage until browned. Add to soup along with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve.
