Italian   -   Pesto Sandwich Loaf   adapted from Betty Crockers New International Cookbook

  • 1 Loaf Sourdough Bread -- round, uncut
  • 6 Ounces Smoked Chicken -- sliced
  • 1/4 Cup Pesto Sauce
  • 1 Medium Yellow Bell Pepper -- ringed
  • 1 Medium Tomato -- sliced
  • 8 Slices Mozzarella Cheese
Directions heat over to 350. cut off top 1/3 of bread loaf. hollow bread loaf leaving 1/4 inch bread wall. layer 1/2 of each ingredient then repeat. replace top of loaf. wrap tightly in foil. bake 40 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes
