Italian   -   Tomato Tarragon Chicken   adapted from contadina

  • 1/3 Cup Flour
  • 4 Teaspoons Garlic Powder -- divided
  • 1 Teaspoon Lemon Pepper
  • 4 Whole Chicken Breast
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 28 Ounces Crushed Tomatoes
  • 16 Ounces Mushrooms -- sliced
  • 2 Teaspoons Tarragon -- dried
  • Salt -- to taste
  • 6 Drops Hot Pepper Sauce
Directions In ziploc bag, combine flour , 2 teaspoons garlic powder, and lemon pepper. add chicken pieces. shake well. In large skillet, saute chicken in oil until brown on both sides. add remaining ingredients. cover, simmer for 15 minutes until chicken is cooked. serve over rice.
