Italian   -   Tonno Alla Catalana (Catalan Style Tuna)   adapted from Culinaria Italy

Ingredients
  • 4 Large Tuna Steak
  • 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Dry White Wine
  • 1 Can Tomatoes -- Chopped
  • Salt -- To Taste
  • 1 Medium Red Onion -- Sliced
  • 2 Medium Potatoes -- Diced
  • 1 Medium Yellow Bell Pepper -- Chopped
  • 1 Medium Jalapeno -- Chopped
Directions Saute tuna in oil for 2 minutes per side. Add wine and tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and remove from heat. Using a bit more olive oil, saute onion in another pan for 5 minutes. Add potatoes, and both peppers. Saute for 15 minutes. Place tuna on plate, cover with tomato sauce and sprinkle with the sauteed vegetables. Serve.
