Jamaican - Chickpea Soup

Ingredients
|
- 1 Pound Stewing Meat
- 8 Cups Water
- Salt And Pepper -- to taste
- 1 Can Chickpeas -- drained
- 2 Medium Potatoes -- peeled and diced
- 2 Ounces Vermicelli
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cumin
- 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste

Directions

In a large saucepan, combine stewing meat, water and salt and pepper, bring to boil. reduce heat and cook over medium heat for 1 hour. add chickpeas and potatoes, cook 30 minutes. add spices,vermicelli, and tomato paste simmer 20 minutes until soup is thickened.
