Jamaican   -   Jamaican Jerk Tempeh   adapted from global vegetarian

Ingredients
  • 4 Medium Scallions -- chopped
  • 1 Small Yellow Onion -- chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Scotch Bonnet -- chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Light Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Red Wine Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar -- packed
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Thyme
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Allspice
  • 1 Pound Tempeh -- in 1/2 squares
Directions preheat oven to 375 degrees. combine all ingredients except tempeh in food proccessor. pulse for 15 seconds. place tempeh in 9 x13 inch baking pan. pour sauce over. bake 10-15 minutes until tempeh forms a brown crust. remove tempeh from sauce and pour sauce in bowl and use for dipping.
