Japanese   -   Tempeh Teriyaki   adapted from 366 Ways to Cook Tofu

  • 1/2 Cup Tamari Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger -- grated
  • 3 Cloves Garlic -- finely chopped
  • 1 Lemon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Pound Tempeh -- diced
  • 2 Cups Rice -- cooked
Directions Combine all but rice in shallow bowl. Marinate 2 hours. Drain and reserve marinade. Saute tempeh in large skillet until brown, about 5 minutes. Add marinade, simmer 5 mintues. Serve over hot rice.
