Korean   -   Broiled Chicken Slices (Dark Kooee)   adapted from Traditional Korean Cooking by Chung Hea Han

  • 1 Pound Chicken Breast -- cubed
  • 4 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 Large Scallion -- finely chopped
  • 2 Teaspoons Garlic -- finely chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger -- finely chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • Salt And Pepper -- to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Sherry
  • 3 Large Mushroom -- chopped
  • 2 Medium Bell Pepper -- finely chopped
Directions Mix soy sauce, sugar, onion, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds, salt, pepper, sesame oil and sherry in large bowl. Add chicken and marinate for 10 minutes. Heat some olive oil in skillet and fry chicken until cooked. Add peppers and mushrooms and fry until done to your taste and serve over rice. Can also be done in the broiler.
