Korean - Dried Shrimp Consomme (Marun Saeoo)

Ingredients
|
- 6 Cups Water
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Shrimp
- 1 Small Carrot -- diced
- 1 Small Onion -- finely chopped
- 1 Small Korean Radish -- diced
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds -- toasted
- 1 Teaspoon Hot Chili Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger -- grated
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- Watercress -- for garnish

Directions
|
Bring the water to a boil in a large pan. Add the shrimp, carrot, onion, radish, sesame seeds, chili powder, ginger and salt. Cook rapidly for 5 minutes then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes. Strain the broth and discard all vegetables and seasonings. Serve hot in bowls garnished with watercress.
