Lebanese   -   Mjudra Blahem (Lentils With Meat)   adapted from Lebanese Cooking by Dawn, Elaine and Selwa Anthony

  • 1 Pound Ground Lamb
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Medium Onion -- Chopped
  • 1 Cup Lentils
  • 5 Cups Beef Broth
  • 1 Cup Rice
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
Directions Brown meat in oil. Add onions and saute for 10 minutes. Add lentils and stock. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add rice, salt and pepper. Simmer for another 20 minutes. Serve with pita bread.
