Morrocan - Chicken Tagine

Ingredients
|
- 3 Pounds Chicken -- in large pieces
- 2 Cloves Garlic -- finely chopped
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ginger
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- Salt And Pepper -- to taste
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Medium Onions -- thinly sliced
- 1 Cup Chickpeas
- 1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1/2 Cup Olives
- 2 Tablespoons Parsley -- finely chopped
- 1 Lemon Lemon Juice

Directions
|
Combine garlic, turmeric, ginger and oil. Rub into the chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Marinate for 1 hour. Put chicken, butter and half the onions in a large pan and bring to a boil. Add chickpeas and paprika. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add remaining onions, olives and lemon juice. Reduce the sauce to a thick consistency and serve.
