Morrocan - Macaroni With Simple Sauce (Macaronia)

Ingredients

- 1 Pound Macaroni
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Small Onion -- finely chopped
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 Clove Garlic -- finely chopped
- 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1 Cup Water
- 4 Tablespoons Tomato Paste

Directions
|
Prepare macaroni according to package directions. Put oil, salt, onion, and turmeric in a saucepan. Simmer, covered for 10 minutes. Add garlic, pepper, ginger and water. Cook for 10 minutes. Add tomato paste and simmer for 10 more minutes. Add pasta, combine well and serve.
