Portugese   -   Almond And Fig Bonbons   adapted from Portuguese Cooking by Carol Robertson

  • 1 Cup Whole Almonds
  • 1 Pound Dried Figs
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon Brandy
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
Directions Spread almonds in a single layer on a cookie sheet and toast them for 9 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Remove and discard the stems from the figs. Place all ingredients except sugar in food processor and process until smooth. Divide and roll into 1 inch balls. Put sugar in a bowl and roll balls in sugar until well coated. Serve.
