  • 1 Can Kidney Beans
  • 3 Medium Onions -- Chopped
  • 4 Medium Leeks -- Chopped
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 Medium Potato -- Cubed
  • 4 Medium Carrots -- Chopped
  • 6 Medium Turnip -- Cubed
  • 2 Quarts Chicken Broth
  • 1 Large Bay Leaf
  • 1/2 Pound Smoked Ham -- Cubed
  • 1/2 Pound Pepperoni Or Chorizo -- Chopped
  • 1/2 Pound French-style green beans
  • 1 Can Tomatoes -- Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Macaroni
  • 3 Tablespoons Parsley
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
Directions saute onions and leeks for 12 minutes in oil; add potatoes, carrots and turnips, saute 5 minutes; add broth, bay leaf, ham and pepperoni, simmer 20 minutes; add green beans, cook 10 minutes; add tomatoes, kidney beans, simmer 10 minutes; add remaining ingredients, cook until pasta is aldente, and serve.
