Portugese - Putrid Cake

Ingredients

- 2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Anise
- 6 Large Eggs -- Separated
- 2/3 Cup Sugar
- 1 1/4 Cups Vegetable Oil
- 1 1/4 Cups Honey
- 1/4 Cup Brandy

Directions
|
Preheat oven to 375 degrees; sift together flour, cinnamon and anise; beat egg yolks and sugar to consistency of mayonaise; drizzle in oil, honey and brandy (in that order); add sifted dry ingredients; beat egg whites to soft peaks, fold into batter; pour into a well buttered tube pan; bake uncovered for 50 minutes.
