Scottish   -   Clapshot   adapted from Scots Cooking by Sue Lawrence

  • 1 Pound Potatoes -- Peeled And Chopped
  • 1 Pound Turnips -- Peeled And Chopped
  • 2 Ounces Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Chives -- Snipped
Directions Place potatoes and turnips in cold water. Bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Drain and mash with the butter. Season with salt and pepper. Serve spinkled with chives.
