Ingredients
  • 2 Large Leeks -- Chopped
  • 1 Large Carrot -- Chopped
  • 1 Stalk Celery -- Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 6 Cups Chicken Stock
  • 1/2 Cup Barley
  • 1 Medium Turnip -- Chopped
  • 1 Small Cabbage -- Chopped
  • 2 Pounds Chicken -- Cooked And Shredded
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
  • 3 Tablespoons Parsley -- Chopped
Directions Saute leeks, carrots, and celery in butter for 5 minutes. Add stock, barley, turnip and cabbage. Simmer for 45 minutes. Add chicken, salt, pepper and parsley. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve.
Serves 4
