Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Chickpeas -- Cooked
  • 3 Pounds Chicken -- Cubed
  • 1/2 Pound Beef -- Cubed
  • 10 Cups Chicken Stock
  • 1/4 Pound Bacon -- Chopped
  • 1/2 Pound Serrano Ham -- Cubed
  • 2 Medium Leek -- Chopped
  • 3 Medium Carrot -- Chopped
  • 1 Large Onion -- Chopped
  • 2 Small Turnips -- Chopped
  • 1 Clove Garlic -- Chopped
  • 1 Medium Bay Leaf
  • 3 Tablespoons Parsley -- Chopped
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Thyme
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 6 Medium Chorizo Link -- Sliced
  • 1 Small Cabbage -- Shredded
  • 6 Medium New Potatoes -- Sliced
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
Directions Combine chicken, beef, bacon, ham, leeks, carrots, onion, turnip, garlic, bay leaf, parsley, thyme and pepper with stock. Simmer for 40 minutes. In a skillet, brown the chorizo for about 5 minutes. Add cabbage and 1 cup water. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add the cabbage mixture along with potatoes, chickpeas and red pepper to the soup and simmer for 25 minutes. Serve.
