Spanish   -   Iberian Macaroni And Cheese   adapted from The world of Pasta

  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Ounces Smoked Ham -- chopped
  • 2 Medium Chorizo -- chopped
  • 2 Cups Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Pound Penne -- cooked
  • 3/4 Cup Asiago Cheese -- grated
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
Directions In very large saucepan, melt butter and cook ham and chorizo for 10 minutes. stir in tomato sauce and cooked pasta. simmer for 5 minutes. in buttered baking dish place a layer of pasta mixture, sprinkle with cheese, another layer and cheese ending with a cheese layer. fleck with butter and cook uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until brown and bubbling.
