Spanish - Meatballs In Sherry Sauce

Ingredients

- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- 4 Ounces Ground Ham
- 1 Small Onion -- grated
- 1 Clove Garlic -- finely chopped
- 1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 Tablespoon Parsley -- chopped
- 1 Teaspoon Mint -- chopped
- Salt And Pepper -- to taste
- 3/4 Cup Flour
- 2 Cups Olive Oil
- ~~ Sauce -- ~~
- 1 Medium Onion -- finely chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 Whole Clove
- 1 Medium Bay Leaf
- 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/2 Cup Dry Sherry
- 1/2 Cup Beef Stock

Directions
|
Place all meatball ingredients in bowl except flour and oil and mix well. Form into small balls and coat in flour. Fry in oil until the surface is golden. Remove and drain on paper towels. In another pan saute second onion in olive oil until golden. Add clove, bay leaf, pepper and meatballs. Pour in the sherry and stock. Mix well. Transfer to baking dish and place in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Check periodically and add more stock if necessary.
