Sri Lankan   -   Fish Steak Curry   adapted from Fire and Spice by Heather Jansz Balasuriya

  • 4 Medium Tuna Steak
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • Salt -- to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic -- finely chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Mustard Seed -- crushed
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Chili Peppers -- any kind
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Curry Powder
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 Small Onion -- sliced
Directions Sprinkle fish with lemon juice and salt. Heat oil in skillet and brown the fish until golden. Remove and keep warm. Add remaining ingredients except sliced onion. Stir well. Brown for about 10 minutes. Add fish and heat through. Serve with sliced onion for garnish.
