Swiss   -   Alpler Magrone (Macaroni With Bacon)   adapted from A Taste of Switzerland by Sue Style

  • 10 Ounces Elbow Macaroni -- Cooked
  • 1 Pound Potatoes -- Sliced And Cooked
  • 5 Ounces Bacon -- Chopped
  • 7 Ounces Cream
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
  • Nutmeg -- To Taste
  • 3 Ounces Sbrinz Cheese Or Swiss Cheese -- Grated
  • 1 Medium Onion -- Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
Directions Saute bacon until crisp. Add cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Mix in macaroni and potatoes. Layer into a baking dish, Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Meanwhile saute onion in butter until golden. Serve sprinkle with the onion.
