Thai   -   Crab Cakes With Cilantro Pestom (Boo Jah)   adapted from Real Thai

  • 1/2 Pound Crabmeat
  • 1/2 Pound Ground Pork
  • 2 Tablespoons Cilantro Pesto
  • 1 Medium Egg -- beaten
  • 1 Tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • Cilantro -- for garnish
  • 3 Medium Serrano Pepper -- finely chopped
Directions In medium bowl, combine crab, pork, pesto, egg, fish sauce, soy sauce, salt and sugar. Mix well. Put flour on a plate and set by the stove. Shape the crab mixture into small cakes. Dip in flour. Saute them in oil for 5 minutes per side. Serve garnished with cilantro and peppers.
