Tunisian - Chicken Tagine With Tomatoes

Ingredients

- 1 Large Chicken -- Cut Into Pieces
- 3 Pounds Tomatoes -- Chopped
- 1 Large Red Onion -- Grated
- 2 Cloves Garlic -- Finely Chopped
- 1/2 Teaspoon Saffron
- 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
- 1/3 Cup Olive Oil
- Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- Sesame Seeds -- For Garnish

Directions
|
Put all ingredients except honey and sesame seeds into a large dutch oven; heat to simmering; cover and cook for 1 hour; remove chicken and keep warm; boil the remaining liquid until well reduced; stir in honey; return chicken to casseole and cover with sauce; serve with sprinkeling of sesame seeds.
